British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is to launch three of his internationally-successful restaurants at Vienna Airport. An agreement has been signed between Flughafen Wien AG and SSP – The Food Travel Experts, which serves as the investor and operator of the three businesses. The three concepts are ‘Jamie’s Deli’, ‘Jamie’s Italian’, and a free-standing bar covering 800sqm on Level 1 of Terminal 3. They will be successively put into operation starting in the spring of 2017 up until the middle of 2018. Vienna Airport will be the first site in Austria to host the Jamie Oliver restaurants.

“Around the world Jamie Oliver stands for high-quality products and a simple but innovative approach to cooking,” explains Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG. “These new catering facilities will expand the culinary offering at Vienna Airport and provide our passengers with a new and particularly high value gastronomical experience. In this way we are resolutely continuing our quality strategy. The new restaurants are an important milestone on this path.”
The opening of ‘Jamie’s Deli’ is scheduled to take place in May 2017. In addition to ‘super food’, the focal point of this concept is on takeaway Italian dishes. ‘Jamie’s Italian’ plans to open in December 2017, with passengers able to enjoy innovative Mediterranean-inspired culinary creations in a relaxed atmosphere. Meanwhile, the free-standing bar will be put into operation by the middle of 2018, offering travellers exclusive cocktails and small snacks.
The three Jamie Oliver concepts to be opened on Level 1 of Vienna Airport’s Terminal 3 are ‘Jamie’s Deli’, ‘Jamie’s Italian’, and a free-standing bar covering 800sqm.
The Jamie Oliver catering businesses will be located on Level 1 of Terminal 3. The new offering will be easily accessible, in particular for passengers departing from Gates F and G. The existing restaurant area will be modified for the new facilities and gradually replaced with the new offering. Starting in April/May 2017, passengers will have the opportunity to enjoy the first Jamie Oliver offers at the airport.
