Excess Baggage Company, which operates a network of almost 40 airport and rail outlets, covering Left Luggage storage, Secure Bag Wrap, and Travel Goods, has now added Coin-operated Weighing and airside and landside Travel Goods vending machines to its wide portfolio of passenger facing airport baggage services.
These are in addition to the original services that the company has always offered to passenger terminal operators, which include Excess Baggage Shipping and Airport and Airline Lost and Found Lost Property services.
Excess prides itself on its proven ability to drive significant revenue growth for terminal operators, while also reducing cost through efficient multi-tasking of staff. The move to coin-operated weighing comes as airlines up charges for excess baggage to passengers. Passengers can weigh bags and then make a choice from Excess’ wide portfolio of services, such as storage of luggage at Left Baggage Storage Units for later collection, or shipping luggage back home, or forward to destination.
The company is currently looking to continental Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and North America, to drive future growth, with numerous opportunities to replace outdated and unprofitable locker systems, with high security, high revenue, over-the-counter baggage storage centres, offering a variety of luggage services.
